- Sigh, deeply.
- Fret about all the things you had planned for this week that you can't now do because you have a SICK KID and have to stay at home for, like, ever.
- Sigh a bit more. Such Important Things, they were, too.
- Ring around and cancel everything.
- Fill the fridge with juice and berries.
- Make blueberry smoothies. With lots of yoghurt.

- And then more pancakes. Because they seem to be hitting the spot.
- Head for the video shop. Decide it's high time the 13yo got some Serious Cinema into her. Thoroughly enjoy yourself watching movies you haven't seen for years.
- Dash out, occaisonally, to meet some obscure need that the child may have, but apart from that...
- Kick back. Relax. Enjoy the down time. Realise that the world will not stop without you.
- Realise, also, that this is probably Heaven Sent.
- Sleep late almost every day.
- Remain this way for at least a week.
