Everybody knits in the round, these days.
Except me. I'm just learning to use dpns. From this woman.
Because anyone who knits for Barbra Streisand....um....
I've been using a Woolly Wormhead pattern. Because Woolly rocks. This particular pattern knits from the top down.
Y'know, which is all very well and everything. But it's almost impossible to gauge the size of the hat until it's off the needles.
This one is meant to fit a 7 year old.
With a little luck it might just fit a 7 month old..... sigh.
The one before this would have comfortably fitted an adult with two heads.....sigh.
I suppose a tension swatch would help enormously....
But we all know how boring they are.
I trust that hat #3 will actually fit somebody.
In other news, I walked into an optometrist yesterday and left $450 lighter.
Not sure how that happened.
